New Breakfast Wrap and Dessert at Gasparilla Island Grill

Continuing our recent vegan menu updates journey, we tried the new Tofu Breakfast Wrap as well as the Coconut Cake and more at Gasparilla Island Grill. This quick service location inside the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa has quite a few vegan options to start your day off right.

Tofu breakfast wrap Gasparilla Island Grill

I was really surprised by the Breakfast Wrap. The spinach wrap gives it that extra bit of flavor, I’m glad they went with that over plain flour. The tofu is mixed with tomatoes, spinach, onions and tomato butter, served with crispy tater tots. While it’s not the most seasoned, adding some hot sauce improves it. It also wasn’t as messy as I thought it would be, but your mileage may vary of course. A solid plant-based option!

Next up, we had a Make Your Own Parfait, with açaí. This parfait comes with one of three base options for us. Açaí, Overnight Oats, or Oatmeal, with your choice of toppings. Not all toppings are vegan, so double check if you aren’t sure. All the granola contains honey, so we opted for fruit and walnuts. I loved this refreshing option, perfect if you want something light on your way to the parks. I definitely want to go back and try the overnight oats option.

vegan Double Chocolate muffin

Available in the grab and go bakery section is this delicious vegan Double Chocolate Muffin. You’ll also find this beauty at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast (and there you can eat all you care to enjoy). If you aren’t into characters or $60 breakfasts, you can grab this one in all its chocolatey goodness. I can’t recommend this one enough.

Raspberry Coconut Cake
Raspberry Coconut Cake

In the ‘looks can be deceiving’ department, this beautiful Raspberry Coconut Cake looks lovely, but sadly does not live up to how pretty it is. The cake itself takes like white bread, with no real flavor and the texture is just off for a cake. The frosting is super sweet, as is the raspberry jam, so combining the two is a bit much for me personally. Normally I love coconut anything, but this was mostly just sugar and raspberry to me.

The lunch and dinner options here are a Tofu Bowl (which was also sadly flavorless when I had it) and an Impossible Burger with vegan cheddar cheese.

This is the previous Korean BBQ Tofu Bowl, but the new version is virtually the same with black beans added.

The Make-Your-Own-Parfait switches over to a Make-Your-Own-Salad at lunch and dinner

Have you tried any of these vegan options at Gasparilla Island Grill? Let me know what you thought if so!
